"Close enterprise deals without hiring a compliance team."

A compliance-automation startup that could carry a company through its security review — behind a page that sold the platform instead of the deal it unblocks.

Where the walk began

AI-powered compliance automation platform

The old line was a category, not a reason. Every vendor in the space was "AI-powered"; every buyer was a founder watching an enterprise deal stall in a security review. The deck talked about controls and evidence collection. The buyers talked about the deal.

The walk, retraced

The same four lanterns — what happened at each one.

Discover

Nine calls in, a pattern: nobody was shopping for compliance software. They were shopping for a way to stop losing enterprise deals to the security review. The word "platform" never came up once.

"We won the demo, then lost the quarter to their security questionnaire."— founder, lost-deal debrief

Frame

The workshop's real fight was about the buyer, not the product: sell to compliance officers, or to founders who don't have one yet? The room chose the founder. The sentence everyone signed made the deal — not the audit — the outcome.

The sentence, signed"For startups selling to enterprise before they can afford a compliance team, we close the security review so the deal can close."

Design

The page leads with the stalled deal — the moment every founder recognizes — and answers it in the buyer's language: deals closed, weeks saved, no new headcount. The evidence sits above the fold: a questionnaire answered by the product, timestamped.

The hero, as shipped — the stalled deal named in the first line

Ship

Shipped to their repo, baseline set at launch. Started trials rose 87% in the following quarter; the one measured iteration shortened the signup form — the last question asked became the only one that mattered.
